Hey guys, thought I would take the chance to properly introduce myself before I get onto the content of this thread.

My name is Sinshroud, and I also Moderate for MMOwned Forums and am a Wind Trader on The Consortium Forums, but I'm here to give Saate a helping hand with setting up rankings and usergroups on his forums. I've never worked with phpBB before and it's a great opportunity for me to learn and broaden my knowledge.
I play on Silvermoon US Alliance (give me a wave if you are there too hehe) and I've been playing since the first few months of Pre-BC. I'm mainly focussed on making gold at the moment and not too much of a collector / achievement hunter right now, but I plan to be more active in that in the future, alot of inspiration to do so coming from these forums and from Saate himself.

We basically want to setup a better and slightly more complex tanking system on the Massively Obsessed Forums just to make things a bit more interesting and to also reward those who are active participants. We are looking at something along the lines of this:

Basic Post Rankings: (I have already implemented these)

0-5 Posts = Registered User
5 Posts = Member
50 Posts = Active Member
100 Posts = Contributor / Valued Member
Then we also have the Moderator and Admin Rankings

The Basic Post Rankings will display as a title under your name.


Special Ranks: (These I still need to implement, but I wanted to see if anyone has any feedback or suggestions about them first)
Rank for getting the insane achievement. (Will create a thread where people can post screenshots/armory links etc for all the options below)
Rank for reaching x-amount of gold.
Rank for attaining x-amount of exalted reputations.
Rank for attaining realm-first something.
Rank for attaining a collection of FoS, like Insane, 214k gold, 30 Exalted Reputations, Winterspring Frostsaber, Hero of Shattrath, etc (Can be called "Obsessed". Then one with even more special achievements and you get "Massively Obsessed". Something like that.)

The Special Rankings will most probably display as a little picture under your display as a title under your name and rank.


I'm not sure yet if we can have multiple ones displayed under your name or not (for example you earn the insane title and the x-amount of gold title), it could be that you will have to pick a specific one to display.

There should be a way to add multiple "rewards" I know there is a system like that in place on thebestcasescenario.com forums.
